Don't miss this park. Lots of history there
Beautiful rolling hills make this a great place to take a break from driving. Picnic tables under a stand of trees offer a nice place to take in the history and the beauty of the countryside.
Stopped by and was unable to do much of anything due to "ongoing logging" as noted by signs posted very inconspicuously. Had I not stopped to read all the various messages on one posted board, I wouldn't even have known that the trails were technically closed. I wouldn't be surprised for the park employees to constantly find people walking the trails without the knowledge that they were "closed" because there is nothing to signify this on the trailheads nor any barriers. It seems to be in a pretty spot but there's really nothing to see or do but look at a bunch of dead trees stacked in piles.

Great visitors center and guide services but they recently cut down all of the older trees and leveled the woods. Now it's a barren landscape.
