In between our adventures we enjoyed reading in the hammock, walking through the field catching fireflies, and relaxing in the rocking chairs on the porch of our cabin. This farm is beautiful, so well run, and a place we can't wait to return to!
The first morning we tackled the ropes course and felt comfortable from the start thanks to the very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Even our seven year old daughter conquered the trees and zip line with confidence. The second morning we rented a canoe and tandem kayak and spent a beautiful morning floating on the nearby reservoir. Again, the staff was amazing, with Spencer even volunteering to hang out with our dog while we paddled!
For the past three years, we have worked with Sandy River for our Honors Leadership Retreat. This year, we had the most students ever, with ~130. As always, the crew at Sandy River was professional and made sure every student had a great time - even if they didn't actually climb. Their leadership programming is great, and the students often cite the ropes course as their favorite part of the retreat. Big groups or small, Sandy River delivers!

Took my family to try out the zip line and have to say it was a good experience. The employees were very nice and helpful to us. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. Plan on going back again.
This was great fun! A group of friends did it, and we all had a blast - we all have different levels of physical skill and ability, but we all loved it. There are multiple levels of challenging courses, and the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and seem to all genuinely be having a fantastic time too, right along with you. The course itself is in a beautiful wooded area, and the facilities are excellent. We will definitely return - loved it!
My sister was visiting from out of town and we were looking for something adventurous to do. This place was awesome. It was not only a workout, but fun and exciting. I highly recommend this for family fun or extreme outdoor fun.
I have never posted a review before but am so enamored with Sandy River that I felt like I could not be silent! We stayed in the one bedroom chalet for two nights and our experience was delightful. The cabin was cozy and had all the amenities we needed, including a full kitchen. What made our stay even more special was visiting with the very friendly farm animals and gathering eggs from the hen house for breakfast.
